You don’t need thick neoprene for warmer water temperatures. A wetsuit of 2 mm neoprene is sufficient. This not only keeps you warm longer, but it also protect you against the sun and provides the maximum flexibility in a suit. This wetsuit is for tropical waters such as Mexico, Costa Rica or Ecuador. It is also nice for swimming pools when you want to swim long lengths. We recommend a 2 mm wetsuit with a water temperature between 19 and 26 degrees.

2 mm wetsuits often come without arm and leg warmers. In the surf world, we call this a shorty. There are also shorties with long arms and no leg pieces - or vice versa. With a shorty, you no longer have to pay attention to whether your bikini shifts in strong waves. This way all surfing goddesses can have an undisturbed surfing session! The bottom of a shorty comes in different lengths. You can opt for a bikini fit, but also pants with longer pieces - don’t we love variety! The sizes of a 2 mm wetsuit are generally the same as clothing sizes.

If you wear a size 36, you can convert to a wetsuit size 6. The fit may differ per brand. It is therefore recommended to try on a shorty first. Check out our range, including the brands Roxy, Rip Curl, O’Neill and C-skins

With 2 mm wetsuits, the differences in fit and brand are not extremely large. This is because the “keeping warm” function plays less of a role than in wetsuits of thicker neoprene.
