During warm summers, 3 mm wetsuits are good for the North Sea. It is also very enjoyable to wear 3 mm wetsuits at many Southern European surf spots. In addition to the extra warmth, you are also well protected from the sun. We recommend a 3 mm wetsuit in water temperatures between 15 to 20 degrees.

It is important that a 3 mm wetsuit fits well. A wetsuit that is too large will always let in cold water, cooling you down faster. Not ideal if the waves are pumping! The wetsuit sizes are the same as clothing sizes. For example, if you have a clothing size of 38, your wetsuit size is an 8. Each brand has its own size chart that indicates your correct size. However! Every brand has a different figure fit. It may therefore be that a Roxy 8 suits you better than a Rip Curl 8. The brands Xcel and O’Neill also offer length sizes.
