    Do you love great food, as much as you love the beach and the sea? Then Hart Beach’s kitchen is the perfect place for you! Starting April 1st, we’re looking for a passionate sous-chef to work alongside our current sous-chef and the rest of the kitchen crew to create delicious dishes. You won’t be on your own—you’ll be part of a strong, well-organised team that works closely together.

    Hart Beach is a family business and the ultimate surf location in Scheveningen–there’s always something going on here! Surf school, surf shop, and restaurant; Hart Beach has it all. This unique combination creates a fun, thriving atmosphere. In the restaurant, we don’t just serve high-quality dishes; we create an experience.

    What will you do?
    • Form a strong duo with our current sous-chef, ensuring an efficient and well-organised kitchen
    • Lead the kitchen team and keep everyone sharp and motivated
    • Ensure consistent quality at all times
    • Manage orders and monitor stock levels
    • Minimise waste and work according to HACCP standards
    • Stay cool under pressure and ensure smooth service–even on the busiest summer days.

    What are we looking for in you?
    • You have experience as a sous-chef, preferably in a similar environment (including experience with ordering, stock management procedures, and reducing waste)
    • You are able to work closely with our other sous-chef
    • You have a valid SHV certificate
    • You are a natural leader and set a good example
    • You enjoy a challenge and maintain calmness within the team
    • You are flexible (weekends, holidays, evenings–you know the drill)
    • You have a good sense of humor and a positive vibe; we work hard but also have lots of fun!
    • It’s a plus if you possess a HACCP certificate, a teaching certificate, and have graduated in the field.
