CI Surf Britt Fish Fin (BFF)

Every new CI board design is created with a specific fin template in mind. Sometimes we stick with an existing CI fin that we know will work perfectly; other times, we design something fresh when the need arises. We spend months, sometimes years, dialing in the fins for a new model to ensure our customers and team riders get the most performance possible from their board. CI's new BFF (Britt Fish Fin) is the latest template to emerge from this ongoing design process, pairing the best fin with a new board model.

The BFF is a modern classic keel design custom-made for our new Feb's Fish. During the initial R&D sessions for the new Feb's Fish, the AMK and BMT were tested. The AMK provided lots of down-the-line speed but felt slightly over-finned during tight, carving turns. The BMT felt like it lacked enough surface area for stability and drive, and maybe a more subtle fin tip could provide smoother turns. To solve this, Britt pulled back and rounded the AMK tip, making other adjustments to fine-tune the outline. The result is a beautiful, balanced fin that is fast and turns well.
